No ABP yet, I expect it though for sure this fall, either Sept or Oct...but we have a surprise here:

THEME BLOCKS:
"Box Sets"
TV Land Box Set features two hours of great TV Land sitcoms all linked together with a single theme. August’s Box Set themes and schedule are the following:
August 18 Spin-offs (features "Gloria" & "Fish")
(Shows/Episodes coming soon)
airs: Sundays 3pm – 5p.m.

Gloria
A spin-off of "All in the Family" features the further adventures of Archie Bunker's daughter Gloria Stivic and her son Joey. Adjusting to a new city is not always easy, but they seem to make it through with the help and support of her new friends and the help of having a new job as an assistant trainee to a couple of veterinarians. Stars Sally Struthers and Burgess Meredith
Look for Gloria & Fish to air in the spin-off Box Set on August 18th

That stinks that Archie Bunker's Place isn't coming yet but it's good that an episode of Gloria is coming. But overall I'm not to happy.

Yeah, I'm disappointed that they are delaying ABP- but atleast I get to see an episode of Gloria. Question- since Gloria didn't last that long will they show each episode or is this just a one shot deal?

For now only one episode, maybe the pilot, on that Box Set on Aug 18.

Is the Pilot an Episode of Archie Bunker's Place?

There was an unaired pilot for Gloria that is now in the Archie Bunker's Place library in syndication. I think the episode that will air is the second pilot, which is the first episode of Gloria. We'll see though...

There were 2 pilots for "Gloria".
The original one is in the ABP package which includes Carroll O`Connor as Archie drives Gloria and Joey to upstate NY. It`s titled "Gloria, The First Day" this episode last aired in 2000 on a local Philadelphia station WPSG.
The other one in the premire episode of "Gloria", O`Connor does not appear. It was somewhat redone from the original. Not sure why though.

CBS was not happy with the first pilot. Embassy and Tandem who were in the process of merging at the time cut O'Connor and Joe Gannon out of the loop and fired former AITF/ABP writers Harriett Weiss & Patt Shea and replaced them at the helm of the show with future Growing Pains writers/Producers Dan Guntzelman and Steve Marshall . They also moved Gloria production from CBS Television City where ABP was also taped to across town at Universal Studios.

I dont' think that should have been done. Had things continued the same way, there probably would have been more crossovers.
