First of all, this is the wrong board... And September is not official yet... LucyFan 07-03-2002, 05:10 PM Originally posted by pavanbadal First of all, this is the wrong board... And September is not official yet... Let's hope it is official though. I'm literally dying to see the show back on the air! I hope the set date doesn't get pushed back. Mr. Stefani 07-05-2002, 03:37 PM Sorry:rolleyes: JaneTVFan 07-15-2002, 03:59 AM Originally posted by pavanbadal First of all, this is the wrong board... Good grief, do you have to be such a jerk? This announcement was already posted on THE LUCY SHOW board. I'm sure ANY fan of HERE'S LUCY is also a fan of THE LUCY SHOW. If there are any Lucy fans that have been reading this board but not TLS board, they might not have been aware that TLS was coming to Hallmark had it not been for the message Timmy087 so kindly posted here. LucyFan 07-16-2002, 02:28 AM Originally posted by JaneTVFan Good grief, do you have to be such a jerk? He wasn't being a jerk but making a piont. There is no need for name-calling. I'm sure ANY fan of HERE'S LUCY is also a fan of THE LUCY SHOW. [/QUOTE] That is not necessarily true. Any fan can like a particular Lucy sitcom and not like the other(s). JaneTVFan 07-16-2002, 04:19 PM Originally posted by LucyFan He wasn't being a jerk but making a piont. There is no need for name-calling. His point was irrelevant for the reasons I already stated. That comment did not need to be made. Sorry, but he is a jerk for jumping on a well-intentioned person's case over something so trivial. As I said before, there may be Lucy Show fans reading this board who did not see the announcement on the other board and Timmy087 was kind enough to post that information for them. Only a jerk would try to make someone feel bad when they're only trying to be helpful to people. JaneTVFan 07-16-2002, 04:25 PM Originally posted by LucyFan That is not necessarily true. Any fan can like a particular Lucy sitcom and not like the other(s). And by the same token, a fan of a particular Lucy sitcom can also like another. So what's your point? A fan of HL MORE LIKELY THAN NOT is also a fan of TLS. Would all HL fans that don't like TLS please stand up! Frankly, HL is virtually the same sitcom as TLS during its last three years. The only difference is a couple name changes and workplace changes. Timmy087 did the right thing! JaneTVFan 07-16-2002, 04:25 PM Originally posted by timmy087 Sorry:rolleyes: Don't apologize, Timmy. You did NOTHING wrong. Ritual 07-16-2002, 08:59 PM PB isn't a jerk. I don't see the point in calling people names. While I do think that there are Lucy fans here, I think that PB has a point - there are different forums for a reason, and everything gets cluttered if we had no adherance to keeping topics in their respective forums. PB has given information for many websites about sitcoms, and even to this messageboard, time and again. This isn't a flame board - it's a Sitcom Messageboard. I hope that we can all keep that in mind and maintain our composure in the future. JaneTVFan 07-16-2002, 09:34 PM Originally posted by Ritual PB isn't a jerk. PB has given information for many websites about sitcoms, and even to this messageboard, time and again. This isn't a flame board - it's a Sitcom Messageboard. I hope that we can all keep that in mind and maintain our composure in the future. It's really completely irrelevant how much information PB has posted about sitcoms. That fact does not give him license to chastise someone for posting something on this board that was clearly meant to be helpful to others and that basically was ON TOPIC. And it's ridiculous to suggest that Timmy087's message is causing clutter on this message board because there are relatively few messages posted here in the first place. Chill out and leave Timmy alone. Save your criticism for posts that are clearly off topic or are flames. Frankly, that's what PB's message struck me as being. It contained two sentences, both of them very snide and arrogant. Either this guy woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day and shouldn't have bothered turning his computer on, or he was trying to start something, or he's simply arrogant and has an attitude problem that ought to be addressed. Personally, I'm appreciative of what Timmy087 posted and hope comments from people like you, Lucyfan and PB don't dissuade him from posting here in the future. This message board is inactive enough, but people like PB make a guy like Timmy087 feel unwelcome here. He shouldn't have been put in a position of having to apologize for something so innocent and well-intentioned. Ritual 07-16-2002, 10:57 PM I don't think he was chasting as much as he was attempting to instruct Timmy about the fact that this forum isn't meant for such news, and eventually, with people disregarding the purpose of a forum, it becomes cluttered, so I trust in PB to have acted out of the best interest for this messageboard, since I have never seen him [in the past] act maliciously against anyone. I think you're seeing more into this than there is, really. I don't see Timmy complaining. In the past, I believe I've seen posts where he thanks PB. PB might have thought that this person was making a mistake. People make mistakes all the time - it's human nature. |
