I'm sure many of you have seen the movie Murder in the First. The real Henri Young jumped parole in 1972, never to be seen again. In order to pull this off, he was clearly much more coherent than the character portrayed by Kevin Bacon.

Why did LE not try harder to find him? More importantly, whatever became of the guy? He doesn't look like an inconspicuous individual; maybe the aging process helped him transition into a person who could more easily blend in a crowd.

Has anybody else been able to locate anything relevant on him? Any reported sightings? There's next to nothing online about this man who became the focal point of a very successful film.

This seems like a case UM might have picked up on, as the film was released right in the middle of the series. Young could very well have still been living at the time of the movie's release. It makes you wonder if perhaps there wasn't some inside information known that he was already deceased. Otherwise, the people involved in the movie who were obviously sympathetic towards Young would likely have waited with the project. Or, perhaps they had been notified that nobody was planning to look for him. If that was the case, Young could have stepped forward and found fame and a bit of fortune at the end of his life.
