(Ralph meets Ed at his manhole for lunch.)
Ed: “What a rotten game last night Ralph. The Yankees failed in their quest.”
Ralph: “Certainly did. The Rays are tough. But the Yankees should pull it off.”
Ed: “What if they don’t?”
Ralph: “They will Norton. They will. I just know it. I’m not going to lose hope.”
Ed: “Me too. When the Yankees win, we should take them out for pizza.”
Ralph: “You are right Norton. When the Yankees win the World Series, they will heal New York especially considering what we went through this year. They will be the toast of New York.”
(They both sing a song about the Tankees being the toast of New York.)
(Jackie walks on stage. Crowd cheers.)
Jackie: “Thanks. GOOD NIGHT.”
(Crowd cheers.)
