Neighbors, due the controversy surrounding Bill Cosby’s incarceration, a lot of people have decided to cancel him and anything associated with his legacy...including “The Cosby Show.” Well, there’s one person who isn’t canceling a thing and that’s Phylicia Rashad, A.K.A Clair Huxtable.

During a recent interview with Bustle, The 72-year-old legend was asked about those who are no longer comfortable viewing the show as they once were.
_____________________________________________
Her response was, “I don’t know why anybody would feel that way,” she said. “I just don’t accept what somebody says because they say it, and they say it in a loud voice. The internet has given a lot of anonymous people a very loud voice. And this, too, has happened before.”

Rashad brought up false allegations that were made against the late author Zora Neale Hurston, with her neighbor accusing the writer of having relations with their 10-year-old son. The case would eventually be thrown out as she was proven to be out of the country when she was alleged to have committed the crime.
_____________________________________________
She believes that in due time more truth will come out concerning Cosby as it did with Hurston.

“And so I know what I know, and I just stay with what I know,” she added, while remarking on both the allegations against Hurston, and those that led to convictions of Cosby. “And it will happen in time, that this will come around another way, as it often does. And then people say, ‘Oh,’” she explained.

I still enjoy watching The Cosby Show and Cosby (1997). Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids and even his 1969-71 show The Bill Cosby Show where he played Chet Kincaid a PE teacher.

Miss Hurston had ONE false accusation while Mr. Cosby had over 70 accusers who the courts ultimately believed!

IOW, it seems Miss Rashad is not happy her royalties are drying up so she tries to compare a true miscarriage of justice with long overdue consequences for Cosby!

IOW, it seems Miss Rashad is not happy her royalties are drying up so she tries to compare a true miscarriage of justice with long overdue consequences for Cosby!I find it very believable that Miss Rashad has more than enough money from movies and tv appearances that she still makes on the regular https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0711118/ . She may be upset that such a prominent, positive ground breaking show that had many other actors in it other than Bill Cosby has been canceled for the most part of very questionable allegations many from 30-40 plus years ago by women looking for Bill to hook them up in the industry.

Who know what really happened but a lot of those women may be trying to come up off of Bill as well...popping pills was the thing on the party scene in the 1970s. Cosby wasn't found guilty of 70 so called allegations as you are propagating.

On April 26, 2018, a Pennsylvania jury found The Cosby Show star guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand in 2004. Cosby was previously tried in the case, but the trial ended with a hung jury. The comedian was found guilty in the second trial, and sentenced to three to 10 years in state prison in September 2018.
