Did any of you see the Wonder Years tvography special on A&E on July 1st? It was really good. It was cool to see how much the shows cast got along, and how they were all friends, and still are friends today. I was surprised to hear how Fred Savage and Jason Hervey were accused of sexual harrassment by the wardrobe designer, or whoever that was, but other then that there didn't seem to be too much controversy surrounding this show. Did any of you see this show? What did you think of it?

I missed it the first time it aired but it actully aired again last night. It was pretty good. Josh did look kinda odd. It was good to know that there wasn't much controversy there too.

Hi all,
I missed the first 5 or 10 minutes. I didn't even know it was going to be on. But, I saw the rest of it, and I thought it was excellent! It was very like the rest of current brand of TV documentaries ("Inside TVLand", "Headliners & Legends", "E! True Hollywood Story", "VH1's Behind The Music", etc.): The complete story told by a narrator, mixed with clips of the people who were involved, as they are today, looking slightly to the side of the camera and speaking briefly to an unseen interviewer . . . and a quick recap of the previous segment after each 27-ad commercial break.
One thing I was happy *not* to see was the way these specials sometimes use out-of-context clips of the series to illustrate what the narrator has just said. For example, one special (I don't recall which one.) about "The Honeymooners" mentioned that at one point Jackie Gleason asked the network for a higher salary or an increase in the show's production budget. This was immediately followed by a clip of Ralph Kramden asking Alice, "ARE YOU GONNA GIVE ME THAT MONEY OR NOT?" I find that kind of stuff annoying and was glad there was none of that nonsense in this "Wonder Years" special.
