Joanna Kerns, Kirk Cameron, Tracey Gold and Jeremy Miller reflected with ET on the ABC family sitcom, which debuted on Sept. 24, 1985. "We're just missing Alan. He always had us laughing, had me laughing," Kerns said of TV husband Alan Thicke, who died in December 2016. She added: "He was one of the most charming men I'd ever met. I think I was a little old for him…But we became really good friends. I saw him a week before he passed."

A couple of odd things...

Joanna Kerns said of Alan Thicke, "I think I was a little old for him" but she was six years younger than him. The only sense out of her statement that I can make is that maybe she meant that Alan only dated women that were much younger than him?

Tracy Gold said of Leonardo DiCaprio "I just thought he was so sweet and so cute" and that he "was just so happy to be on set with us." I clearly remember watching a segment about Growing Pains one time where Tracy Gold was quoted as saying that she didn't even remember Leonardo DiCaprio ever being on the show because she was so out of it with her battle with anorexia.

Yeah, they even say later that Kirk had to be the first to meet Chelsea, before Alan did. Apparently, Alan had quite the reputation for dating women half his age. Wikipedia says Alan started dating Kristy Swanson when she was 17 and he was 40. His second wife, Gina Tolleson, was Miss World 1990; they married in 1994. She was 25; he was 47. His third wife, Tanya Callau, was a 30-year-old model when they married in 2005. He was 58.

I guess she at least remembered he was cute.

One thing I noticed is when Kirk talked about meeting pretty girls, they cut to a scene of him and Julie McCullough hugging on set. Sort of a cringy moment, there.
