I must say, I like the first season. It may not be as funny and serious as the other 196 episodes, but I like it. I liked the house that they stayed in. I really liked seeing all that stuff, that you can't see in the other seasons of Eastland. I mean, did you ever 1ce get sick of pretty much the WHOLE set being the girls' small little room, and the kitchen? Those were the best episodes, but I like the setting of the 1st season the best. how did you like it?

It's pretty cool.. It's been awhile since I've watched Dieting but from what I remember doesn't the dining room in that ep almost look like a bedroom? I always thought that was funny...

I think season 1 was OK, although it doesn't compare to seasons 2-5 IMHO. I've seen a lot of the season 1 episodes so many times, so I kind of lost interest in the first season after awhile. But I agree, it IS nice to see the change of set that exists in season 1.

I really like the 1st season also, but I think what really defined the show were seasons 2-5. The Beverly Ann episodes were okay, lol...
Yeah, I like the setting of Eastland. What I think bugged me the most about the 1st season, was yes, a lot of the girls, but a show needs variety, but how a lot of them were just stuck with a few one liners an episode (Tootie, Natalie, Molly and Nancy the most). I was actually surprised they kept Tootie and Natalie, because they weren't featured very heavily the 1st season (not that I'm complaining, LOL).
Oh well, obviously, NBC and the FOL brass made the right decision to cut the cast down, because it worked. But like I said in a previous post, the shouldn't have completely phased out the other girls and Mr. Bradley, at least to keep continuity they should have had them reccur a bit more than they did.
