Richard Dawson from Hogan's Heroes had big success as host of Family Feud in the 1980s.

I don't know if we should count people who were continuously successful at their same gig from the 60s to the 80s. Then we'd have to add a ton of sports announcers and probably several soap opera stars.

If you count Mama's Family as a success, Vicki Lawrence?

From the music world:

Paul McCartney
George Harrison
Stevie Wonder
Dionne Warwick

I was going to mention Don Knotts, but I see he was already mentioned so I'll just give a more general answer. Many TV celebrities from the 1960s had a lot of success later on in the 1980s. Some have already been mentioned. As these things go, the 1980s was really not that far ahead in time than the 1960s. Just 2 decades, that's not that long. So it is natural a lot of top TV talents from the 1960s had success just 2 decades later.

That's true. You are right about the 1960s and 1980s. Both decades still had a wholesomeness, innocence and family oriented vibe.
