Does anybody think an episode about the COVID-19 breakout would make a good story? I am aware it would probably lead toward some conspiracy theory angle but at this point there is reasonable suspicion to believe that anything is possible. Reasons include:

1) Flawed numbers in how cases are counted/documented as evident by skewed testing practices.
2) Those numbers are inaccurate because some places (state/country level) may be either under-reporting or over-reporting their numbers.
3) This virus, while similar to previously known ones, still has unique characteristics which argue that it may or may not be man-made.

I also recognize how this case has parallels to the original UM episode about the "gelatinous goo" plague.

Maybe 5-10 years from now they could do one using the possible man made angle.

Before they do that, they should do one on how 9/11 was an inside job and how the moon landing was fake.

lol yes.

COVID-19 is a REAL thing. UM has largely done harmless/popular/victim-less conspiracies and not done, say, a segment on vaccines causing autism (because they don't). Their faith healing segments were left very much open to the viewer's interpretation - not presented 100% as "yes, this is real, forget modern medicine!"

I'd be really disappointed if UM started venturing into that sorta territory.

It wouldn't be an unsolved mystery by any means, but a segment on just how much fear was put into people's lives over things. And how politicians just carried on as normal once they thought the cameras were not on them (I'd be getting political if I started mentioning names, so just use your imagination). How people lost their job, their business, how the economy tanked, how our debt exploded, how psychologically damaging it was to people. I mean, it isn't unsolved, but it would still make at least a truthful segment.
