Paula and her roomie Sally Jo(played by Mary Kay Place right before she got cast on 'Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman') were never mentioned again. But perhaps one could imagine that since these two were nurses, they got assigned very different shifts from Mary and none of them were able to interact with each other.

Of course, all parties agreed that somehow these roomies just didn't mesh with the MTM crew so that's one reason why both Miss Marhsall and Miss Place didn't stick around long but pursued their individual careers.
