In the S2 ep “Beaver Says Goodbye” his classmates get the false impression he was trying to scam gifts from them.

Miss Landers comes in and sets them straight, and a few times between 25:00 and 27:00 you can see her speaking very sharply to Judy. Judy, while obnoxious, is no dummy and by the look on her face you can tell she really gets that Miss Landers is on to her. And when Larry threatens to slug Judy, you can see Miss Landers ambiguously smile while leading into a new subject.

What a great teacher Miss Landers was and what a shame Sue Randall passed away so young (age 49).

I’m going to start watching at least an ep a day. When I was a kid in the late 60s, the show was already in syndication. Even after all that time I still remember some eps vividly. (But now I’m running out of questions for the Wrong Answer game....so this will be my daily show to watch...switching off from Hazel & That Girl).

Would love to hear others’ thoughts on this ep, and any others where Judy gets owned. Hope scrabjan1 sees this thread as she’s so knowledgeable about the show, and know she’ll likely have some great stuff to share.

Happy viewing LITB. I know I am.

"Sit down, Judy!" from Goodbye Beaver is probably one of my favorite moments from LITB. It was great to see her get some harsh words for a change.

Thanks for pointing out a few more details I might have missed in the past.

I'm a little burned out on Hazel, too. I think I have most of the scripts memorized by now.

I always liked LITB and now that it’s on ME TV from 8-9 am on weekdays, I think this will be my go-to nostalgia going forward!

Hazel is a 1960s sitcom that ran 5 seasons. She's a maid played by Shirley Booth. Also starred Don DeFore and Whitney Blake.

Season 1 is black and white, except an early episode. The remainder of the series is in color.

The fifth season episodes have her working for relatives of the Baxters, played by Ray Fulmer and Lynn Borden.

I’m a little tired of Hazel too. So it’s nice giving “her” a rest. Right now I’m watching My Three Sons & LITB on ME.

Was Hazel "slow" or just ... ?

I hardly ever watched the show but she seemed ... not a rocket scientist +-

The show relied on the gimmick of Hazel always saving the day—outsmarting business tycoons, socialites and lawyers—and all with just plain common sense and moxie. This gimmick was kind of cute in the beginning...but lost it’s allure after a while...at least for me.
