Since the release of the Jurassic World movies I often wondered if the name Owen has become popular for boys? The only time I have heard of the name Owen is because of Owen Corning cookware. Where does the name Owen come from and what does it mean?

I also always known Owen to be a southerner's name and I have noticed that many southern people name their sons Owen most of the time. If I ever had a husband and had a son I would most likely name him Owen because of Jurassic World
