They are using the 2nd season plus lyrics with the 1st reason arrangements.

Thanks! I don't think I ever saw that, until now. They're adorable there.
It was a pleasant surprise to hear them singing Season One lyrics! (About as surprising as Kim's DWTS dance on a recreation of the Season 1 set.)
valentina warner 09-08-2020, 08:33 PM CHARLOTTE and LISA looked absolutely adorable together: like good old friends!
Thank you so much for sending me the link Impressions!!!!

Lisa sings the Season 2 and on lyrics, Charlotte sings the Season 1 lyrics. The musical arrangement is to Season 1.

I remember that! It would've been perfect to use Charlottes lyrics she sung in the s1 theme.

Awesome! Now we need to get one of the Lost Girls on that show. I think Julie P. has been campaigning to be on that show for awhile now.

You are correct.
I would absolutely love to see Julie Pie on DWTS; I know she has long hoped to get on. Although of course it was GREAT to see her as one of Kim's special guests, I would love to see her on stage. I'm not a DWTS fan, but I definitely watched all of Nancy and Kim's episodes. But this was the best one: Eastland uniforms, the dorm, "Tootie", "Sue Ann", and "Mrs. Garrett" all in one episode? Heaven!

What's DWTS???? I'm confused here, cos i only saw CHARLOTTE and LISA sing (there was no sign of KIM or JULIE PIE)......

There's a YouTube link, above, with Kim on Dancing with the Stars (DWTS), a US TV show. Charlotte and Julie Pie were in the studio audience, cheering Kim on. Kim wore a gown inspired by an Eastland uniform, and her dancing partner wore an Eastland-inspired uniform, as well. They danced on a set made to look like the dorm, and the song they danced to was the FOL theme song.

Try clicking on the picture with Kim dancing. That should take you to YouTube. If it doesn't work for you, then it may be one of those things where you can't watch it in certain countries.

I was really impressed that they even included the Roger hotline. Talk about attention to detail.

Haha! GREAT point! You can clearly see the phone on the table.
They did a great job with that set: the staircase, the clock, the diagonal windows, both of the doorways, the fireplace, the bookcase, and even the couch. It's too bad they didn't include any globes.

She truly did! And she danced quite well, also, scoring the fifth-highest of the night from the judges. I'm sure having her fellow castmates there, to cheer her on, helped.

I only saw CHARLOTTE there cheering (they even had her talking about how small KIM was then as a kid) and no one else: were they all hiding????

Julie Pie was two people over to the right of Charlotte. I don't know who the older woman between Julie Pie and Charlotte is.
RetroGuy2000 09-10-2020, 12:39 AM You can see Julie Pie more clearly in some of the behind-the-scenes DWTS photos.
80s Dude 09-10-2020, 07:31 AM I wonder who that woman was between Julie Pie and Charlotte. I thought it may have been Julie Pie's mom, but she passed away in 2006.

Maybe Charlotte's assistant or nurse? Or maybe her younger sister, Miriam? Just spitballing ideas.

I've seen Miriam and she is very heavy set. Definitely not her.
Sitcommania 09-10-2020, 01:30 PM I’m not a singer, but the theme (in every season), as simple as it sounds, seems hard to sing, even Charlotte Rae and Lisa Welchel sound pitchy. It’s in a high range.
RetroGuy2000 09-10-2020, 02:39 PM I've seen Miriam and she is very heavy set. Definitely not her.
There's a photo of Miriam online? I only found some of Miriam's daughter.

Charlotte's grandaughter posted a more recent picture of Miriam in a private Facebook group.

Yes! You are right; they sure do.
I love cast reunions, and to get to see a Lost Girl interacting with Mrs. Garrett and Tootie really made my whole year. The fact that they've remained friends all this time means a lot.
It's so, so sad that we lost Charlotte, but she clearly lived life to its fullest, loving her "girls" and cheering them on in their lives. Kim will forever know that people she met 40+ years ago will always have her back, in the same way she had Mindy's back all those years ago, when Mindy didn't even know stage directions.
We fans know there was something special about FOL, something that was behind the scenes but also showed on camera: the incredible chemistry of the cast, and the strong support they gave each other, whether or not the network suits saw their value.
When the Cast Purge happened, we could have seen bitter recriminations and tabloid tell-alls. Instead, we saw these individuals remain friends (not "friendly", but friends) for decades, never allowing stardom come in the way of that friendship.
Shortly after Kim's DWTS appearance, she wrote a book where she talked about those amazing friendships, but she took it a step further: she called Julie Pie her sister. I will forever adore Kim for that.

Wow! You spoke straight from the heart Retro!!!!
I think FOL has become my favourite sitcom of all time!
I watch an episode every day and write stories on the 'Fanfiction site' about the cast, but mostly with MRS G and BLAIR normally as the main ones: for me those 2 always had the best chemistry (on and off set) CHARLOTTE and LISA were actually the first to interact on the Pilot, and became tight friends instantly! (they looked so adorable singing the FOL theme song!).party:party:party:
The same goes with the rest of the gang: every single of the FOL girls gained a place in CHARLOTTE's heart, and the chemistry was visible when she had her 'heart to heart' talk with each one of them.:bighug::bighug::bighug:
In a way, i envy those FOL girls and i think they are very lucky to have known and worked with such a fabulous and brilliant person as CHARLOTTE RAE....
As you said: the clan of 8 really were 'her girls' lol!:loveya::loveya::loveya:

It's the same for me. There's just something so special about it.

Absolutely!
I can see why it would be easy to envy the FOL girls: they all ended up successful, talented, and well-loved. They navigated the hurdles of child stardom successfully, with none of them falling into disrepute.
