WHEN: Season 3 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Suite_Life_of_Zack_%26_Cody_(season_3)), Episode 20

WHAT HAPPENED: Remember (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Trivia/TheSuiteLifeOfZackAndCody) when Chris Brown (https://www.newsbreak.com/news/1545715475282/is-the-controversial-the-suite-life-of-zack-and-cody-episode-featuring-chris-brown-really-nowhere-to-be-found) and the Cheetah Girls randomly guest-starred on Suite Life? The episode (https://tipton-moved.fandom.com/wiki/Duplicate_Doin%27_Time_in_Suite_2330) aired in August 2008, but was reportedly pulled (https://www.reddit.com/r/DisneyPlus/comments/dvmjzc/the_suite_life_of_zack_and_cody_is_missing_the_2/) from Disney Channel (https://www.thethings.com/things-disney-channel-tried-to-sweep-under-the-rug-and-failed/) after Chris Brown was arrested for assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009.

I remember that episode. It's also absent from Disney+ for that reason, which is unfortunate, because said incident was over a decade ago now.

Quite honestly, I don't blame Disney one bit for trying to bury that particular episode. It would be one thing if the Rihanna incident as abhorrent as it was already, was an isolated incident. But Chris Brown (https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/7494648/chris-brown-legal-problems-timeline) continued (https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2013/10/28/chris-brown-arrest-history/3285623/) to get into trouble (https://people.com/music/chris-brown-a-timeline-of-the-singers-legal-trouble/). Disney doesn't want to have to promote people with controversies or legal hassles. I mean, Mitchell Musso was dropped from Pair of Kings and his show PrankStars was cancelled after he was caught with a DUI.

The Chris Brown episode was banned, as was a season 1 episode, Smart and Smarterer. In that one, Zack faked having a learning disability. This must have been over the top for some.

Evidently there was some miscommunication at Disney a few years ago, and all episodes in the series were shown on On-Demand for a few months.
