I'm not talking about The "New" Woody Woodpecker cartoons on Saturday mornings on Fox, but the old classic ones by Walt Lance? They were great! Why doesn't somebody like Cartoon Network or Boomerang pick them up?

You are right, I grew-up watching this series. But it seems to have disappeared after the early 70s.

I would think that Cartoon Network would grab up the old Woody cartoons, but they seem to favor the Hanna Barbera and Warner Bros. stuff.

I've never seen the "new" version? Is it any good?

Yeah, I know. Cartoon Network is owned by Time Warner/AOL so they will always favor WB cartoonsfirst and foremost.

The "new" Woody is too much like a kiddie cartoon, like when they brought back a "new" version of Tom & Jerry. The adult humor is not there anymore.

Ah yes, the "new" Tom and Jerry.

Jerry wears a tie and they both get along.

Really friggin entertaining...
