NewsNation takes up around 1/3 of WGN America's schedule. This is a very bad move on the network's part.

At least Married... With Children will still be on Logo, but nice to see that Murder, She Wrote will be returning though.

Sad to see the movies go.

Married With Children is also on getTV.

Murder She Wrote on Cozi; JAG on Heroes and Icons.

And for those with a Hulu subscription, on demand of Married With Children is there. Last Man Standing which is extensively aired on WGN Aired is also on demand on Hulu.

It appears NewsNation is what will define WGN America, as that is the original content and airing in primetime. So far, Nexstar hasn't been able to secure WGN America coverage on most of the newer streaming providers: Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling, fubo TV, Philo, frndlyTV and Vidgo, and even Roku or Amazon for a direct subscription. Well, only AT&T TV but that's somewhat cable like and not appealing to cord-cutters. I'd think getting increased coverage should be top priority.

However, the show has to prove itself somewhat in order for streaming providers to want to add WGN. It might be hard in a crowded space.

Maybe a good fit if Nexstar could acquire Philo and provide a platform for WGN America, and local newscasts from its broadcast stations.

I think the no bias angle Newsnation desires should be interesting to follow, but it will likely be called out on having some implicit bias eventually.

I don't think it's a dumb move on Nexstar/WGN. There is likely a lot of ad money, especially this year from September to Election Day.

Streaming or not doesn't matter. WGN is widely carried on cable. One hour of NewsNation every night would be reasonable, but certainly not six.

Probably will be 3 hours and then repeated each night.

WGN has sucked for years now anyway. It's never been worse than it is right now.

No. I have Xfinity.

Before going through the trouble of a putting up an antenna, if you don't already have one, click on this link for H&I https://www.handitv.com/wheretowatch/ and enter in your zipcode to see if there is a tv station within range (less than 60-50 miles).

H&I is my goto on Sunday afternoon to watch Superman and the Untouchables.

I used to as well.

Funny thing about Newsnation, I've tried to give it a go a couple times, and whenever I tune in, there is a commercial on. And the few times that I have stuck it out and waited for the newscast to come on.....seemed like they just couldn't get any traction....boring as can be.

At least WGN got rid of Dog The Bounty Hunter also, that I see as an improvement.

getTV's Married with Children block starts at 1am eastern/12 midnight central. If you are in the central time zone, getTV might work for you for Married with Children.

No. I have Xfinity.

I noticed in my area (Philly region), Xfinity also doesn't carry the getTV subchannel. In Baltimore, getTV is not even available over the air, let alone Xfinity. getTV definitely has coverage gaps but it is increasing coverage. It also made the USA Today and TV Guide listings sometime ago, I think.

Nationally, it is on Philo ($20/month), Vidgo and fubo TV (kind of expensive) as well as Dish Network, and maybe DirecTV. I hope Sling adds getTV, as it recently added feTV, which are both on its sister or parent Dish Network.

I've emailed FrndlyTV about getTV. I think the channel is family friendly enough, as FrndlyTV might decide on a channel's family friendliness. While Married with Children might be viewed as racy, it airs at 1am, and I think Steve Harvey's Family Feud (which airs on GSN) is just about as racy or even more.

I'm not even sure what family friendly really means anymore. Does violence on all the westerns on INSP get a pass, but an alternative lifestyle depicted on a sitcom (or in case of Married with Children, one satirical) not viewed as family friendly.

I predict NewsNation won’t even last six months. It’s very difficult to establish credibility for a new news organization with an audience. It’s hard to believe that people will turn to WGN America for this.

Just a guess on my part, but I think the violence of Westerns is excused because those shows are set out in "God's country," while Married With Children is vilified because it's set in a city (namely Chicago), and cities are, by default, viewed as filled with the worst kinds of sin.

I gave up on WGN America, especially when they took off the Midday News and the Nine O'Clock News

Sinclair Broadcasting has ruined a good station and a good superstation turned basic cable

Out of curiosity, is every hour different, or is it the same one hour repeated throughout the night?

Never watched it all the way through, but my educated guess is the first 3 hours repeat from 11-2. After midnight I was zipping across the channels and noticed they were doing weather radar which was time stamped 3 hours earlier.

I dunno. They're probably invested quite a bit in it. They might have a difficult time dumping it that soon.

There have been a few changes to this schedule. How I Met Your Mother is gone from WGN. DailyMailTV moves an hour earlier to 2AM weeknights, and Person of Interest now rounds out their weekday schedule at 3AM. Person of Interest also keeps all its late night weekend airings. Movies have made it back on to the weekend schedule at various days and times. This Sunday on the 13th Liar Liar will air 1-3PM, cutting two episodes of Elementary. Next weekend on Saturday the 19th, Murder She Wrote is reduced to two episodes from 9:30-11:30AM. The movie Four Brothers airs from 11:30AM-2PM leading into Blue Bloods. Some Broadway Profiles half hour special starts out that day at 9AM. Blue Bloods on weekdays is now all 5 days from 3-6PM, replacing In the Heat of the Night on Wednesdays. Everything else remains the same.

WGN most likely removed How I Met Your Mother because it’s on Laff now. As for next Saturday and Sunday though, I'm not seeing any movies on their schedule.

Hot damn! HIMYM is finally off. But still this is not a good schedule. I’m off the fence about Person Of Interests STILL being on the schedule and MSW only getting two hours now on Saturday from its long break. I’m tired of a Blue Bloods too. It comes on ALL the freaking time on ION (other useless channel). Plus a over 2 hour news show weeknights. Sean Compton promised us a hell of a lot more for WGN America. I guess I’m only watching WGN America now for In The Heat Of The Night and Murder, She Wrote.

I never cared for Blue Bloods-- The Streets of San Francisco from the 70s w/Malden and Douglas (and Hatch) was a far-better-made police procedural (at least IMO).
