Ronnie Busick recently pleaded guilty as an accessory to the murders of Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible. Part of his plea is to help authorities retrieve the bodies by August 31st. If successful, he will be sentenced to five years incarceration plus five years of probation. If the bodies are not recovered, he will be sentenced to 10 years in prison and five years of probation.

A search of a root cellar turned up empty. Next authorities will be searching a couple of mineshafts.

Ugh... I just wish they would finally find the girls' bodies for the sake of their families. Just another knife twist to the gut for them. :(

Get the feeling this guy only knows the rough area where they are buried & is just guessing in the hope he hits the bullseye, because he didn't actually dispose of the bodies? I mean seriously, how the hell would you forget where you dumped two corpses even 20 years ago? This isn't Brady & Hindley on the Yorkshire Moors. The only other possibility is he is a control freak who gets off on wasting the time of law enforcement & dragging out the relatives grief. There really isn't a great deal on the table mind you-if they made it 30 years or 5 rather then 10 or 5 he might change his tune if he knows.

James T-- I think you are probably right. Also, he may be looking at it from the perspective of his age being 68, either sentence (the five years or the 10 years) is likely to be the equivalent of life in prison or a death sentence given that I don't think he's in the best of health. Hopefully he's just not jerking them around and they find the bodies for the closure of the families.
