I was thinkin of the Sams Kidnapping episode of "Diff'rent strokes" when i thought about this.
In my episode, one of the Brady kids would be kidnapped by a man, lets say its bobby that gets kidnapped. then after they end up finding him at the end. and the parents come in and the cops rush in to arrest the man, Bobby is tied to a chair with tape on his mouth. and Carol goes, "now now officers, im sure this man has a reasonable explanition for kiddnapping our son, id like to hear him out." so the man explains his reasons and garbage and carol comes back saying something like, aww, now now Mr. ______, you see Officer, he didnt mean any harm by that, please dont arrest him.
Officer- "but this man kidnapped your kid, if we let him go he - could do it again to another kid"
Then carol some how persuades him not to arrest him and they invite the kidnapper over for dinner. the end.
