I was kinda more interested in shows where the parent/parents had one child or if there are other children, they are not siblings. For example, on "Who's The Boss" Sam and Jonathan live together but they are not siblings. They are the only child of their parent or parents. I'm sorry about not making myself clear about that.

Didn't mean to cause confusion:) Even though Tia & Tamera are siblings they are the only child of their adoptive parent. For WTB Sam is Tony's only child as Jonathan is Angela's

227 is a good example of a family show with two parents (married together) where only 1 child was included in the cast. Outside of the unusual family arrangements like Who's The Boss or My Two Dads, or extended families situations Family Matters-Richie, Cosby Show-Olivia, typically, a family sitcom has 2 or more siblings (often 3 or more), but the writers of 227 managed with just one child.

Wow! So there a quite a few shows without siblings as a family. I always felt that most shows featured siblings versus an only child.
