In the 1970's skier Suzy Chaffee became the spokeswoman for Chapstick in a series of commercials where she earned the cute nickname Suzy Chapstick. If you remember watching Suzy Chaffee in skiing competitions she was one of the top female skiers and her commercials with Chapstick really boosted her career. Based on the success of Suzy Chaffee's commercials Chapstick repeated the same success in the 90's with skier Picabo Street and it proved it well. Since it's comeback as the favorite lip balm of movie character Napoleon Dynamite in the movie of the same name Chapstick is still a favorite of everyone everywhere

Sad irony is that I only remember her at all much less that she'd been a champion skier due to recalling her 'Suzy Chapstick' commercials! I wonder if she is thankful for being remembered at all or regrets that THAT is the only way so many of us remember her .
