Last month, while writing about the new fall schedules for the different Canadian networks, I noted that CHCH's new retro daytime lineup is the best that any channel has had in years and how I couldn't wait for it to arrive in September. Well, it seems that CHCH couldn't wait either. Instead of filling out the summer with temporary replacements for departing shows, like "Gidget" for example, many of the new series are all arriving early in August, some as early as next week. To best illustrate this, I have highlighted them below along with any further details that you will need to know:


10:00 am Matlock Premieres - Mon. Aug. 10
11:00 Green Acres Mon. Aug. 17
11:30 The Beverly Hillbillies Thurs. Aug. 20
12:00 pm Fantasy Island
1:00 Mission: Impossible
2:00 The Jeffersons
2:30 The Jeffersons

3:00 The Odd Couple - TBA -
3:30 Gilligan's Island - TBA -

Both "The Odd Couple" and "Gilligan's Island" are a long way off. My best guess would be to look for them in mid-October.

4:00 One Day At A Time
4:30 Get Smart - TBA -

"Get Smart" is also a long way from arriving. Look for it around the same time as "The Odd Couple" and "Gilligan's Island".

5:00 Family Ties Mon Aug. 10 at 3:30 pm

"Family Ties" will move to its regular 5:00 pm timeslot once "Cheers" ends.

5:30 The Brady Bunch Mon Aug. 17
