To follow the lead of Classic nickelodeon on teen nick. It would be wonderful to see the nick@niTe block on nickelodeon rebuild into a Classic NICK at NITE.

Airring EveryNite at 11pm-7AM. Lassie & The Three Stooges & My Three Sons & The Donna Reed Show & Dennis the Menace & Leave It To Beaver & The Patty Duke Show & The Many Loves Of Dobbie Gillis & Car 54, Where Are You? & Make Room For Daddy & I Love Lucy & The Andy Griffith Show & The Dick Van Dyke Show The Munsters & The Addams Family & Mister Ed & Bewitched & I Dream Of Jeannie & Laugh-In & The Monkee’s & The Brady Bunch & The Bob Newhart Show & Newhart & The Mary Tyler Moore Show & Happy Days & Laverne & Shirley & The Odd Couple & Three’s Company and much more!!

Also at this time Classic promos and jingles Can air like a Man or Woman running in setting up an area to watch NICK at NITE & The Adventures with the Milkman & Better Living Through Television & NICK at NITE Classic TV Rewinds & Retromercials.

This way nickelodeon still can air FRIENDS if they still want from 9pm-11pm.

You Tube is popular because a lot of Classic things are on it. Can you imagine the popularity if this block can bring classics to onair airrings.

Yes we have digital stations but not everyone has all the digital stations. The majority of those stations do not air these great classics during the Nitetime hours either. So this block can also grow popularity that way as well.

Just a suggestion.I know this block will show success again if it wants to!

I would love this as much as anyone. Certainly Nick at Nite has gone downhill in dramatic fashion over the last 20 years.

However, if this was a viable business model, it would have happened. Unfortunately, shows like most of the ones you mentioned just don't draw an audience anymore between years passing and some being forgotten, the availability on DVD and the internet, etc. If Nick at Nite thought they could get ratings by doing this, they certainly would have. But the sad truth is it wouldn't work and it's time to move on. Enjoy classics on DVD, streaming, youtube, digital channels, etc. It will never be a thing on Nick at Nite (or TV Land) again.

You have some good points. I do have a few questions.

1. How can teen nick have a classic block that works but NICK at NITE’s can’t?

2. Returning Classic NICK at NITE’s is not a Primetime thing. It would be just a
LateNITE/OverNITE thing.

3.How can a Classic TV format will not work when Me TV beat TVLAND in the ratings. In addition CBS airs I Love Lucy & The Dick Van Dyke Show sure it’s in color but it’s still classics being aired on a Big network. Plus The Andy Griffith Show airs in Primetime on TVLAND into the 8 O clock hour. Yet these shows can’t be shown on NICK at NITE?

4. Why did it ditch original programming for rerun syndication programming?

Just a comment as well, If they aren’t Returning Classic Sitcoms I suggested adding the middle With Patricia Heaton. Hasn’t happened. So I thought let me look at FRIENDS okay Saved By The Bell would fit in and that didn’t happen.

I think a Classic Nick at Nite (a dream channel or a dream TV block) should be a dream suggestion unless it follows the same route as Antenna TV, MeTV & FETV does

Friends does not air at 9PM any more. Young Sheldon is a much better show now airing in the 9PM hour where it should stay, and being retro set Young Sheldon would appeal to a lot of classics fans. It won't happen any way, as long as Viacom which is too inconsiderate to ever remove off the clock programming remains Nick at Nite's owner. But just keeping it at 11PM-7AM is not enough good slots available, if it really was revamped back into a classics home Nick at Nite should start at 6PM or 7PM, to give more classics a chance to shine. Nickeledeon's hours being reduced wouldn't be any loss as animated crap always sucks, especially very annoying Spongebob that belongs in the garbage bin.

If a revamp did happen that had classics with more variety joining the current Nick at Nite shows, this is what I would schedule.

The channel remains the home of Nickeledeon's crap from 7AM-4PM and is still branded as Nickeledeon then. Then Nick at Nite is rebranded as Nick Classics since it now starts at 4PM. Friends still gets a 2 hour block but is shoved to the middle of the night where it belongs. If the spoiled Friends fans complain even more, they can bite me. :p And yes Young Sheldon and The Middle are current/recent shows, but they have the classics feel that appeals to fans of the 20th century classics.

Dennis the Menace is not needed on Nick at Nite/Nick Classics at all. It already got a complete series marathon on Antenna TV, which is better treatment than a lot of their superior shows get.

4-5PM Mr. Belvedere
5-6PM Leave it to Beaver
6-7PM Boy Meets World
7-8PM The Patty Duke Show
8-9PM Family Affair (1966)
9-10PM Young Sheldon
10-11PM The Wonder Years
11PM-12AM The Dick Van Dyke Show
12-1AM The Middle
1-2AM Perfect Strangers
2-3AM My Three Sons
3-4AM Full House
4-6AM Friends
6-7AM Mom
