Furienna 08-05-2020, 12:25 AM I'm a '90s fangirl. :) FHCastmember 08-05-2020, 01:27 PM 90s and early to mid 2000s LUNCH 08-05-2020, 01:34 PM I'd say the 1960-70s for both television and film combined. It is really hard for me to narrow it down to one decade. The 1940s-1950s were also a great time period for films. If I add music to the mix I would say entertainment in general: TV, movies and music combined, peaked and was at it's best during the 1960s- early 1980s. Except one that seems a mystery to me. The Breakfast club. I appreciate that we all have our own preferences.....but that selection in particular, has always seemed an oddity to me. Some people love it. And I have one question in particular, did you personally go to high school at about the same time that you first saw that movie? Nothing "wrong" either way. But that one factor seems to be a constant among those I've talked to, who seem to like it. Just curious. Coffeecup 08-06-2020, 09:37 PM 1950-early 1990's. Old Tv shows are wonderful!!. Can't get into anything in this century. I was in elementary school. jimpickens 08-07-2020, 05:05 AM TV 50's 60's some of the 70's and 80's Movies 60's 70's and 80's Crusinforabrusin2.5 08-07-2020, 02:34 PM TV was at its best in the 90s, thanks in large part to NBC and its comedy shows. Many 50s-70s shows, while funny, are just silly and don't hold up too well. Many 90s sitcoms still are funny to this day As for movies, I'd say 50s-70s broadmoor 08-08-2020, 12:33 AM My preference for movies ranges from the 1930s to early-1950s. Movies start to interest me gradually less after that point. But while movies wane for me, this also coincides with the burgeoning advent of filmed tv-series, which takes over, covering the 1950s and 1960s, which I go for in a big way. Then things get dicey for me by the 1970s... some tv-shows from then I like, while others I actively dislike. By the 1980s onward, I have pretty much zero interest in tv or film. jimpickens 08-08-2020, 03:31 AM The 90's blew.
