Investigation Discovery programs range from exploitative to exhaustively informative. Really depends on the series producer and the overall tone of the production, I guess. I just watched this, and it really doesn’t add anything to the story, except you get an interview with the school principal who Depue was writing threatening letters to while he was a fugitive. Otherwise it’s just an HD remake of the UM segment. I’m not sure what I was expecting. I find it weird when other true crime shows refer to UM as “that national show”. I don’t get why they don’t just credit them. (I’ve seen Forensic Files credit UM before when they profiled the Dorothy Donovan case) mhryvnak 08-09-2020, 04:57 PM I watched it, the re-enactment actors seemed a little too hipstery for me. I think I appreciated the UM piece better. You did get some sparse information as to what happened to the children afterward as well, but no updates of substance.
