Suzi Quatro may be best known in the US for her brief role as “Leather Tuscadero” on Happy Days. But prior to that, she had a successful career as a singer in the UK. Despite being a Detroit native, her musical career never took off here. Maybe the competition was too great. Maybe music execs thought her “tough chick” image was unappealing. Listen to her songs and decide if they would have become hits in the US.

I remember hearing a song she did on the radio back in the late 70's called "Rock Hard". I thought she was going to become a success, but maybe many in the industry weren't ready for a "tough rocker chick", either. Everyone had to be as sweet as Debby Boone.
There was The Runaways. And Girlschool. And a few others out there.

I remember her as Leather Tuscadero, but I never got into her music. Except the late 70s big duet hit Stumblin' In that she did with English singer Chris Norman. One of my favorite songs from the 70s. Norman was the lead singer of the band Smokie, and their only hit in America was Living Next Door To Alice, but like Suzy Quatro they were more successful in England.

Suzi Quatro is awesome, she just released an album/CD last year in 2019 titled No Control and it's very good. I'm not as much a fan of her earlier music when she first started out, but I like her album "If You Knew Suzi" and pretty much everything else going forward from there.

Suzi Quatro has many great songs. As I mentioned previously, I'm not as much a fan of her earlier stuff but starting with the album If You Knew Suzi and going forward from there the music is pretty good. My favorite album of hers is probably the Rock Hard album from 1980. Pretty solid album.
