Every time they finish season 8 they always go back to season 1 and skip season 9. Sometimes they've even skipped over seasons 7 and 8 but this time they are playing all of season 8 except Fights and Stuff and then going back to season 1. I wonder if they are treating the show as if the whole season 9 doesn't exist, since Roseanne changed what she didn't like in her book, for instance Dan actually dying of his heart attack. I can't think of any other reason why TV Land wouldn't play season 9.

That and because season 9 was just plain garbage.

Because Season 9 sucked swamp water. It was awful.

Its still BS, even if most ppl don't like it they should still show it!

I hate that every station nowdays does this to the Carol Burnett show, they always skip season 11, because GOD FORBID, Harvey Korman isn't in it.

There are skits from season 11 that I've been wanting to see since my childhood, for some reason TBS aired it back then!

Don't get me wrong, I like Korman, but it's no reason to exclude the whole season every time.

What Heenan, Andress Jade, and WriterChick said. Roseanne Season 9 was horrible. I'm not surprised TV Land wants to skip it. They want viewers to tune in, and if viewers see it's a Season 9 episode, they're going to skip it. It's not funny; it's a bad parody of itself. Why waste time airing a season of a show which will only cause viewers to tune out?

Season 9 has been regarded as being the worst season of the series. TV Land wants their viewers to stay tuned into their television and if they showed Season 9 they know people wouldn't do that so they skip over it.

Another reason I think is that Season 9 has no relevance to the series anymore. Roseanne retconned it with having the whole Season 9, including the ending, be nothing more than her writing.

Yeah, the 9th season isn't relevant, as it was ignored entirely by Season 10 of Roseanne and all seasons of The Conners. It's now like an "alternate reality" that could have occurred... but didn't.

I quite enjoyed season 9. The first third which Jackie and Rosie on adventures wasn't great but when they all returned home, the writing was great. Better than the previous couple of seasons from memory. I loved the new look of the house but I think it was a bad move. It lacked that cosy feel we knew and loved.

They still shouldn't be skipping a season because it wasn't well received.

Ultimately, the station wants to pull in viewers and they probably feel that the Season 9 mess would turn core fans away from tuning in, and they know they can get viewers from the "classic" seasons 1-8.
