Over the years it has been talked about that the suspect could be an ex-cop already in jail, but they can't charge him for some reason?

Since the death of Gord McAllister (Jacqueline's widower) in 2012, I haven't found anything new in relation to the case. From what I understand, Ronald Glenn West is still in prison for two unrelated murders, but there hasn't been any or enough evidence to tie him to the 1991 Blind River double homicide. Hence no charges against him in that case.
