I just watched this episode, and there's plenty of questions, such as:

Aunt Bee walks to the Courthouse, supposedly from the Taylor house, with chicken soup for Emma Brand, and asks Barney to drop it off if he's out that way.

A few minutes later, Andy and Barney pull up to Emma's house and as mentioned earlier, Emma's house is located in between the Taylor house and the Courthouse, meaning Aunt Bee must have walked right past Emma's house on the way to the Courthouse.

Then, after Ellie Walker shows up at Emma's house, Barney is seen walking in the distance, as Andy flirts with Ellie Walker, everyone seems to have forgotten that they arrived in the squad car, which seems to be gone now.

Apparently, after the problem with the escaped convict, Emma Brand decided to move closer into town, when is believable enough, I suppose.
