Hi, I'm new to this forum! I'm curious if anyone knows how to record streaming app like Philo or Netflix, etc onto DVD?

I have one show in particular that I would like to record on DVD, but don't have the tools for it and was wondering if anyone could help me out. Comment or shoot me a DM and would really appreciate it! :)

What's the show? I'll try to find it for you online if it's available.

It's on Philo and the show is called BET Her Live.

Instead of Philo, Netflix, Hulu, or other streaming services that you have to pay to subscribe to, you can use a free streaming service like Pluto TV instead to save you time and money. Pluto has BET on Channel 126, Bet Her on 127, and another channel called Bet Homecoming on 128. You would then look at the built in TV guide to see when your favorite shows are on and you could check the website for details on how to record them. For me, I use a few simple steps:

To record:

1. Look for a computer key shaped like the Windows logo.
2. Hold the key with your left hand and press G with the right.
3. A pop-up screen should appear. Press the 'record' button to tape your shows live.

To DVD:

With Windows Media Player

1. Insert blank DVD.
2. Play video you want to record.
3. Find the main menu page and look for your files under "Library".
4. Pick the videos you want to transfer to DVD and then press "Burn".

That's how I do it. It may be a little different for you.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Appreciate that! I have Pluto TV and aware that they have channels like BET Her and BET, but the shows they show are different than what streaming apps like Philo have and Philo have this one episode of BET Her Live that I would like to record and burn on DVD.

I have a Mac and use Quicktime to screen record streaming media on the desktop, but my peeve is that audio is not as crisp ala the sound came off as muffled and have to do some adjusting on a different software before burning on DVD.

Have you try using a DVD recorder to hook to the TV and record shows on streaming app? It's really tricky with the restriction of copyright and what have you and not as easy as it use to be.
