I'm just wondering, what is everyones' preference of which Clueless is better? The Clueless movie or TV show? I prefer the movie. I thought the scene in which Cher drives the car and fails the driving test and can't believe she failed was pretty funny. What are your opinions? :happyface    :) :p

The movie was definitely better. How can you replace Alicia's classic portrayl of Cher with Rachel's bland version of Cher? I'm sorry, but Rachel didn't cut it as Cher she didn't give off the emotions that Alicia gave off in the movie. Plus the movie had a lot more classic moments than the show did. And the show wasn't even a real continuation of the movie, I expected them to pick up where the movie left off, but they in a way started the show over and took a different direction than the movie had went.

I'm the complete opposite -- I hated the movie, which made me at first hate the show. But now I like the show, and I definitely think the show is better. :happyface :happyface :happyface

I really liked the movie- we had to waych it in school to tie in with doing Jane Austin:confused:

I've tried watching the TV show a couple of times and I never really thought it was that funny.

The tv show... better than the movie? "AS IF!"

Sorry, but when a show is on UPN, it has about as much quality as a tv movie. The movie "Clueless" wasn't a tv movie however. Get my drift?

I really enjoyed the first season of Clueless when it was on ABC, and while I do enjoy some of the episodes on UPN, the quality just wasn't as good. However, the movie I think is the best of all. However, I do like that Dionne & Murray had a bigger part in the TV show.

Oh that's right! It was on ABC first. So basically, my first post was bogus. Allthough ABC is.... ehhh. Lol. Well, the post was pretty bogus anyhow. I didn't stress the REAL reasons the series was no where near the greatness of the movie (although I did watch the ABC year).

No one plays Cher but Alicia Silverstone. That alone makes this show a flop. TV Shows spunoff from Movies are no gos. Never seen one yet that was close to the quality of the movie. Yeah, that's about it. It was good for TGIF, good for UPN, not good compared to the awesome movie.

I like both but you cannot deny that the movie is leap years ahead of the tv show in terms of quality, humor and acting... but the tv show has its moments too... i always liked the UPN episodes better than the ABC season, the episodes on ABC all seemed a little too concerned with being politcally correct wheras the UPN episodes were not so much concerned w/ that.

I prefer the movie, since I've seen it first and became accustomed to seeing Alicia Silverstone play as Cher. The TV Show wasn't bad though.

Yeah in the movie Cher was more negative and less optimitic... In the tv show she was very positive and more caring, i guess they thought the tone of the movie would be too much to the 8pm primetime network TGIF audicene.

In the movie, the kids were all about sex, drugs, and rock n roll. The tv show made them such goody-two-shoes. I remember in the movie somewhere about Dionne losing her virginity...but on the show, Dionne talks about being a good little virgin. Okay...continuity...

Hi. I'm new here. Actually, unlike most people. I prefer the show. It seems to be more family oriented. Also, I've noticed Cher was so much nicer in the TV series. In the movie, she did a lot of nice things for selfish reasons, but she seemed naturally very nice on the show. Just my thoughts.

I agree. I haven't seen "Clueless" since it was on in syndication and on "Teen Nick." It would be nice if the series got a DVD release.

I love movie. It has always been like my favorite movie. I still remember the first time I saw it, I was in second grade so most of it went over my head, but I still loved it. The mainthing I loved about it was howAlicia Silverstone played her character. When you have someone else play Cher it just isn't the same. The tv seris is ok, but doesn't come close to the movie.

I absolutely LOVE the movie, and I remember seeing the TV show, which I liked as well. The lead character didn't have the "ditzyness" of Alicia Silverstone's Cher, but I still liked it because it featured people from the movie. I wouldn't mind seeing the episodes again.

Definitely the movie. Alicia Silverstone and Britney Murphy were too cute in the movie version. I don't think I ever saw the TV series...

the reason why 'dionne & murray' had a bigger part, was cause the show was moved to "UPN". with all the other 'urban' tv show at the time. so what choice did they have.

The television series was far superior. It wasn't as authentic, but I don't care.

The TV series should be watchable and they need to support the rebooted versions of these discontinued WB shows in the future: Popular, Maybe It's Me and Do Over.
