Julien’s Auctions is planning to auction (https://www.juliensauctions.com/about-auction?id=334) off the late actress' four Emmys for Rhoda and The Mary Tyler Moore Show this weekend. But the TV Academy is claiming that the statues are loans, not gifts, and cannot be auctioned. Harper died last August at age 80.

I was surprised that something like this would end up at an auction from an estate. I would think her dear husband and daughter would want to keep those? They all seemed to be so close. I am not sure how these estate things work exactly or how this came to be, but it seems disrespectful and insensitive to sell the awards?

The U.S. District Court granted a temporary restraining order that blocks Julien's auction house from selling Harper's four Emmys this weekend that she earned for The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda.
