Anyone even have this, or care to share?
I've not had any of those generous 20:1 ratio trade offers in a long time.

Got it from another collector not too long ago. I have been looking for the complete series of Dusty's Trail. So far I have 21 episodes counting Danger Stranger. 17 of them were from the only released retail set. The remaining 3--not counting Danger Stranger--I located posted on Youtube. One of those was the pilot episode, The Not So Magnificent Seven, uncut, original source unknown. I also have the TV-movie from retail, The Wackiest Wagon Train In The West. That's all I've found so far of the series. I am still missing a grand total of 5 episodes however. Titles are: # 9 Two Of A Kind # 17 How Dry Was My Valley # 21 From Here To Maternity # 25 A Day At The Races # 26 Pechango Berries (I may not have the episode title numbers correct, but there they are) Know where I can find any of these, Full Screen, in English? If not, I can at least help you out with Danger Stranger (it's on a disc with 2 The Ugliest Girl In Town TV series episodes and Dusty's Trail # 8 Tomahawk Territory). Thanks! Black Sheep One :) cloggedmind 07-13-2020, 11:20 PM Believe me, if I had any of those other 5 episodes you listed, I would have posted them to YouTube or somewhere already. Especially Pechango Berries.. that's a holy grail for myself and many others, too! Any of the shows with no laugh track were from the compilation film with credits plastered on. If you got "No-So-Magnificent Seven" without the fade-out (or THE END titles) before Dusty finishes saying "Goodnight Mr. Callahan!", you have a true rarity. Hi, Well, after what you said about the Dusty's Trail pilot episode The Not-So-Magnificent Seven in your last post, I went back and checked my copy of it, and sure enough, you were right. The episode ends with Dusty getting hit on the head with the cane he was using while pretending he was the legendary lawman Bat Masterson and as he's passing out with Mr. Callahan the wagonmaster holding him up the scene fades out followed by the end credits. It is not an original unedited version as you suggested. I have to admit, it's better than nothing I guess. At this point, I'm under the impression that the 5 episodes I'm looking for that I don't presently have are missing or lost, and not available anywhere either in retail or the collectors market. I suppose I'll have to settle for 21 out of the 26 episodes from the series and the 4 episode TV-movie compilation The Wackiest Wagon Train In The West (a retail DVD release). Another short-lived series that the late Bob Denver starred in after Gilligan's Island and before Dusty's Trail was a late 1960's sitcom called The Good Guys co-starring Herb Edelman, about childhood friends one of whom owned a diner (Edelman's character) while Denver played his buddy Rufus Butterworth a cab driver who was always trying to involve the diner owner in get-rich schemes that usually backfired. There were 42 episodes filmed and it was never in syndication after the 2 year CBS-TV run (1968-1970). Only 9 episodes have been located in the collectors market, one of them the pilot episode. The rest are missing or lost and absolutely positively nowhere to be found. At least Dusty's Trail is almost complete.... At any rate, do you still need Danger Stranger? Please let me know. Thanks. Black Sheep One. :) cloggedmind 07-15-2020, 12:13 AM I'd like to get that episode, but I don't know if I have anything you want. I have a list of stuff if you want me to pm it to you. This episode of The Good Guys turned up a few months ago, and I hadn't seen it before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byqDdZ7q7h4 The uploader doesn't have any more episodes, unfortunately. I had, previously, 4 episodes in pretty bad (red and b&w) shape from Youtube, but they seem to be quite common and, in fact, are still on Youtube in little pieces. I bid on one Good Guys 16mm episode this year that was on Ebay but lost. Can't remember the name but I know I'd not seen it before. |
