In the past, I have done quite a bit of research about the late Hazel Shermet. I think that she was quite an actress! Well, one thing that I have no idea about is whether she ever needed glasses, contacts or any other type of visual correction. However, I have seen her playing five different parts on two different TV shows. In four of these five roles, she had reading glasses hanging from a strap around her neck. I am guessing that they were there just as part of her costume. In some scenes, she would hold the glasses up to her eyes when she had to look at something closes. Two of these were in episodes of the "Facts of Life" and three were in "Gimme a Break!". The only one of these five times that she appeared in which there were no glasses anywhere on her body was when she was the busy body on the pay phone in the "Emergency". Right below this thread is one by me about that episode in general and that scene in particular. However, the fact that she was not wearing glass did not fit into the context of what my last thread was about. That is why I am now posting this one!
