In the 80's before starting as Johnny Carson's replacement on The Tonight Show the talk show king himself Jay Leno became the spokesman for Doritos in a series of commercials. There seemed to be loads of Jay Leno Doritos commercials but the most noteworthy one features Jay Leno dressed as a cowboy to promote the Cool Ranch flavored Doritos chips. I'm surprised that Jay Leno fans don't know about these commercials but they probably paved the way for NBC to choose him as Johnny Carson's replacement for The Tonight Show
