FOL-FAN-ITA 07-06-2020, 05:34 PM I don't think he did something for the kids, after all they were coworkers. The only thing I knew he spoke with them because they start ordering the crew for food, something that Kim Fields (Tootie) discussed in her autobiography. He said something:"I've been in this industry for years and I would never do this" DJM77 07-06-2020, 08:02 PM I don't know if Conrad Bain tried to help Todd Bridges overcome his problems, but I do know that they were close and that Todd considered Conrad to be a father figure to him in real life. FOL-FAN-ITA 07-07-2020, 08:57 AM I don't know if Conrad Bain tried to help Todd Bridges overcome his problems, but I do know that they were close and that Todd considered Conrad to be a father figure to him in real life. I read on a site that Conrad and Charlotte Rae visited him in jail. In another interview he said he was very close with both castmates rusty spike 07-07-2020, 05:14 PM Just my opinion, but I think all 3 of the child actors were very troubled to be helped offstage. Gary was the breakout star on the show and I don't think any of them would listen to any sound advice that Mr. Bain might have offered. |
