I'm glad. I'm in various FB true crime groups and they're all buzzing about it. Hopefully, Netflix will produce more episodes.

Even though I don't consider this new show as something that scratches my itch for UM, I'm glad it's doing well and I hope they keep producing it. At least I have Prime now for the old shows.

No. But it’s a good indication that lots of people are watching it right away. The first weekend is very crucial for Netflix shows.

Some news - tips are already coming in and confirmed - more episodes coming later this year, which makes sense because if you watch the trailer you see plenty of footage that was not shown in this first run of six episodes.

So far, Meurer says "Mysteries" has received three tips it passed on to the FBI related to the death of Alonzo Brooks, whose body was found a month after he disappeared following a party in rural Kansas in 2004. Tips also came in relating to the cause of death of Rey Rivera, whom Baltimore police said died of suicide, and the disappearance of Lena Chapin, who was supposed to testify against her mother in her stepfather's death.

In another measure of the unscripted program's enduring appeal, "Mysteries" ranked as the No. 1 TV show on Netflix in the U.S. on Thursday. (Six more episodes will be available for streaming later this year.)

I bet a lot of people feel more comfortable giving tips through the Unsolved website than directly to law enforcement. I know I would.

I am thinking more unsolved murders for the next batch of episodes, although I would like for them to tackle the case of the Sodder Children.

great news, there is a lot of genuine excitement from the mainstream. it's best tool is helping law enforcement solve cold cases, as well as helping expose corruption in our society where there have been cases of malpractice.

It's great news! Hopefully they use it to their advantage to put more cases in each episode, since there have to be thousands of unsolved crimes and missing people.

More episodes were filmed and are coming later in the year, it has been confirmed. And I would bet we see another 12 episodes next year given the amount of press the show has gotten already. :)

Just watching the new intro with the original music and Stack at the end, still gives me chills.

The fact that my favorite tv show has risen from the dead and is #1 in the US... is badass and kinda makes me proud to be a member of this forum.

As some others have already pointed out, I don’t know how to feel about it. I miss the old premise of the show where we had a number of cases on each episode. One long episode feels like a Disappeared, Dateline, 20/20 and etc. There is nothing fresh or unique about it. As the show is popular on Netflix,, I doubt the format will change back to the original premise.

I watched the first two episodes and kinda stopped on the French family episode. I’ll give it a go again in the following days.
