I think I might barely remember women wearing white gloves, and I have seen pictures of little girls wearing white gloves.

Do any of you remember people wearing white gloves?

I haven't watched the series in a couple years (it's due another replay soon) but I remember seeing Betty and even Kitten wearing white gloves when they're getting dressed up to go out.

And yes, I do remember women folk once caring how they dressed and yes ladies did wear white gloves when stepping out to go shopping or to a restaurant. I remember my grandmother esp. always wore white gloves when we went "downtown" or out to eat. But not my Mom so much, only once in a while.

This is not just a pox on women folk and the way they dress now but esp. to men now, it's so much worse. Men ALWAYS wore a jacket and tie when leaving the house to go out, to a ball game, to an airport, to a restaurant, to go to a department store, anywhere other than the dump, even there they might wear a stained tie. Today the worst of them have their pants around their ankles as they stroll the boulevard.

I remember wearing white gloves going to church when I was a kid, especially on Easter...

Yes, the women did it up big on Easter. Gloves, hats, show off for spring.
