I am rewatching the first episode of ST right now and when Mrs. Wheeler gets ready for her date with Billy, Cutting Crew's "I just died in your arms tonight" is playing. That song did not come out until 1987 and it is not the first time either. During a Season 1 episode set in 1983, Corey Hart's "Sunglasses at nignt" is being played on Steve's car radio and that song did not come out until 1984.

-In the episode where Max and Billy's parents come home from shopping they are carrying bags with the Sears box logo. And Sears changed their logo in 1984. Sometime before christmas.
