View Full Version : This is what James would have looked like in season 4 of Good Times TVFactFan 06-25-2020, 01:11 AM minus the suit lol John Amos made a guest appearance the last season of Mary Tyler Moore as Gordy the weatherman and it was during the 1976-77 TV season. Bonniegirl 06-25-2020, 01:52 AM minus the suit lol John Amos made a guest appearance the last season of Mary Tyler Moore as Gordy the weatherman and it was during the 1976-77 TV season. He looks handsome in a suit and with a mustache !! :);) TVFactFan 06-25-2020, 11:03 AM He looks handsome in a suit and with a mustache !! :);) I seen enough of MTM to now buy the DVD. The guest stars, John Amos as the weatherman before Maude and GT. Penny marshall, Julie from One day at a time, Rhoda. Im sold lol GoldenTV 06-27-2020, 02:05 AM Season 3 was firing on all cylinders with characters well developed and lighter stories and I can only imagine what season 4 of GT would have been like if James stayed on the show. In season 4 with James aboard, they could have reduced JJ's shenanigans, give more air time to other characters on show. And with a better writing, GT would have been south side equivalent version of Jeffersons :D TVFactFan 06-27-2020, 02:52 AM Season 3 was firing on all cylinders with characters well developed and lighter stories and I can only imagine what season 4 of GT would have been like if James stayed on the show (or got fired). In season 4 with James aboard, they could have reduced JJ's shenanigans, give more air time to other characters on show. And with a better writing, GT would have been south side equivalent version of Jeffersons :D I would have hoped if james stayed they would have gotten out of the projects GoldenTV 06-28-2020, 03:05 AM I would have hoped if james stayed they would have gotten out of the projects Moving out of project might have been too much of a change for the show since producers had to change the set and characters associated with living in project. And the show would have lost some its charm due to being in the project. Better change might be to move Evans to three bedroom apartment in the same building with everybody having their own room. This way JJ would't be hanging around in the living room 24/7 and intruding in every situation :D TVFactFan 06-28-2020, 02:02 PM Moving out of project might have been too much of a change for the show since producers had to change the set and characters associated with living in project. The show was just dealt with ongoing financial issues TV Guy 06-28-2020, 02:16 PM I would have hoped if james stayed they would have gotten out of the projects Remember what happened to “Laverne & Shirley” when they moved out of the basement. TVFactFan 06-28-2020, 02:27 PM Remember what happened to “Laverne & Shirley” when they moved out of the basement. That was the appeal of the show? When they left the basement is that when they went to California? GoldenTV 07-01-2020, 01:11 AM Well even that would have been fine because it would have showed progress. The show was just dealt with ongoing financial issues Really they shouldn't have if Florida was working, and JJ and Thelma get a part time job after school. I used to work at a taco joint on weekends when I was in high school. I used to work at a taco joint on weekends when I was in high school. That was one of the criticisms of the show early on, why was the mom not working and had older kids |
