So I'm the self-appointed photo archivist in my family, and I've got a website where I've scanned every old photo and document from the different branches of my family I can get my hands on. It makes for a nice digital archive for family members to see photos or scans of old documents preserved. And one of the scans I did this weekend was of a letter written by a distant cousin of mine collectively to her great aunts and uncle.

Now, a few misspellings aside, when I read through this letter I couldn't help but think of Sue Ann here and there. So I had to share it, lol.

Right?? When she said she broke her arm running track, I was like, "No way! Sue Ann!"

It'd be too terrific if she'd said "I broke it while I was running track and fell after my friend Cindy tripped me".

After my friend in pigtails with a face to match tried to pass me

Haha, that's an "Easter egg" I thought I'd see if anyone else caught!

Yeah, broken bones during rack, strawberries growing all over the place, dogs biting---everything in this whole letter is anything but "adequate"!

(I hope Tiger never bit Papa Weaver!)

And I think it's funny that with cfr not into the whole rural-people-using-two-names thing, that here we have her mentioning a "Sara Lynn" and "Mary Margaret"!

(I know both of them, and yes, they do go by those double names! lol)

Well, then, I'm glad I caught it. I find that part hilarious!

I hope not, either, but you never know: Tiger could have been upset at Sue Ann for spending so much time at Eastland, rather than being home with him in Kansas, City, Kansas, and could have taken it out on Mr. Weaver.

I do too! It's all "HUGS 'N KISSES!! BRENDA!! :cheer:" and that is totally not OUR Brenda!

True! Did you think of Tiger when you read that part? I purposefully didn't comment on any details in my first post because I wanted to see if others would see certain Sue Ann-y and "Facts"-y things in it like I did, lol.

For instance, I love how she said "Mom and Dad planted strawberries in our garden"---not "Mom", not "Dad", but "Mom and Dad"---and you get the feeling from season 1 that Sue Ann's parents do things together, so that's a fun little detail. :)

No, this is how Brenda would have signed off:

Adequately yours,
Brenda

I was definitely reminded of Tiger.

I definitely felt as though they are a farming family that does things together.

I'm kind of thinking of this as the "adequate" emoji, lol: :lookaroun

I don't remember what she said to her during Blair's birthday party, but I remember Blair zinging her in "Dearest Mommie"! --- "A lot like you, Brenda!" [catfight smile] lol
