'80sSitcoms 06-15-2020, 11:00 PM That's right! Not pronounced "EASTluhnd" like the school name, but "East Land", like "Disneyland"!
How great would it be if there were a "Facts of Life" theme park?? Just think of it! Walk-around characters! "Semester" passes! "Year" passes! "Extra Credit" bonuses for passholders! And SO! MUCH! MORE! :triplets
So Disneyland is divided into 4 lands:
Adventureland
Frontierland

Tomorrowland
In my plans for Eastland: Lost Girls USA, it's divided into these 4 lands:
Ad"Cinds"erland
"SueWeaver"land
"Nantasy"land
To"Molly"land
You can have fun building your own version, or adding onto this one. :) See below for details on attractions! (ones with parenthetical names at the end were submitted by those fellow board members. Ones without names at the end were done by me)

Dessert:
Cinnamon Buns (fresh-baked every day!)

The special attraction "CommuniCoreFour" will look at the historical context of how these 4 girls came to last with Mrs. Garrett for throughout their time at Eastland and into Edna's Edibles, and the impact of their group.
(I read my new Disney book "Maps of the Disney Parks" this weekend, and revisited my "Posters of the Disney Parks" book too, so I must have really been hit by a BIG bolt of inspiration, lol!)
'80sSitcoms 06-16-2020, 02:35 PM Only the 2nd day of operations here at the park, and "SueWeaver"land has already been updated with 2 new attractions!

'80sSitcoms 06-16-2020, 04:56 PM Another restaurant idea: there must be a Mama Rose’s Original Bronx Pizza Inc.
Yes, for the BEST pizza in the entire park. I thought of that when thinking of Peekskill USA, but that's when I was only doing Lost Girl-era locales. But if we expand the whole park system with EPCOF and such, we can call the Magic Kingdom "Lost Kingdom" and put Peekskill establishments from the whole era right there in Peekskill USA. patriot:

Lorimar Television 06-16-2020, 05:41 PM Wonders of Dieting Life
Based on EPCOT Center's Wonders of Life pavilion this pavilion is dedicated to "life and health" and the perils of unhealthy dieting! Many attractions reside under the golden dome such as:

Blair's Cranium- Explore the day in the life of Blair Warner as we get in her head! Here the right brain helps her creative side paint Sue Ann flat chested and logical left side helps her come up with excuses for copying a poem from Emily Dickinson! Uh oh she's just met the delivery boy Steve and her hormones are running wild! But her Adrenal Gland is full of panic as Natalie sits in the other room!
Cindy's Sport Pro Swing- Here you can swing at a baseball or practice your tennis and have Cindy Webster analyze your swing on a video monitor above!
The Making of Whoopee- This sensitive film goes back in time as Natalie's daughter explores how Nat and her husband planned and had her.
Happy Magic Marker- this hands on exhibit area is full of optical illusions! Is it a skinny pencil or a happy magic marker? It depends on where you're standing! How does it work?!
Mrs G's Pure and Simple Nutritious Treats- Ever eat at Edna's Edibles? Well here, Mrs G uses only the healthiest ingredients for guilt free goodies!

The Haunted Man-Shun - Enter this house if you dare! Your car will be pulled through by male Cast Members in this dark ride as you see the ghosts of men who dared discount or belittle women in their former mortal lives. They will teach you about women's rights and bemoan the error of their ways! (a "ghost phone post" is placed outside the ride's exit so you can call your mother, sister, daughter, wife, girlfriend and tell her how much you appreciate her! Calls are free for women, $50 for men)

RetroGuy2000 06-16-2020, 11:08 PM Pimppa’s Flying Dingo Chase (like Dumbo’s Flying Elephants)
Hall of Headmasters (similar to Hall of Presidents, but with animatronic versions of Misters Crocker, Bradley, Harris, Parker, and Morehead, and Ms. Warner).
Enchanted Sexy Lingerie Room (animatronic versions of the core four perform “My Boyfriend’s Back” and other classics).
Carousel of Edna’s Progress (a look over the years at Edna’s various careers: housekeeper, housemother, dietician, caterer, shopkeeper, restaurant hostess, Peace Corps volunteer, and nurse!)
I would totally go on the Hall of Headmasters and Carousel of Edna's Progress rides!
:clap
RetroGuy2000 06-16-2020, 11:13 PM Wonders of Dieting Life
Based on EPCOT Center's Wonders of Life pavilion this pavilion is dedicated to "life and health" and the perils of unhealthy dieting! Many attractions reside under the golden dome such as:
Diet Wars- this advanced motion simulator takes you inside Sue Ann's body after not eating for a week! See how her system is reacting to such unhealthy eating and then view it again after she's been on a proper diet and see the difference.
Will we suddenly see a gusher of rice pudding come down a tube, as Sue Ann finally learns her lesson?
Blair's Cranium- Explore the day in the life of Blair Warner as we get in her head! Here the right brain helps her creative side paint Sue Ann flat chested and logical left side helps her come up with excuses for copying a poem from Emily Dickinson! Uh oh she's just met the delivery boy Steve and her hormones are running wild! But her Adrenal Gland is full of panic as Natalie sits in the other room!
:lol::lol::lol::lol:
Why is Natalie's daughter named Whoopee?
Happy Magic Marker- this hands on exhibit area is full of optical illusions! Is it a skinny pencil or a happy magic marker? It depends on where you're standing! How does it work?!
Mrs G's Pure and Simple Nutritious Treats- Ever eat at Edna's Edibles? Well here, Mrs G uses only the healthiest ingredients for guilt free goodies!
These are great, Lorimar...as are '80s! If there's ever a FOL theme park, you two (and TV Guy) should be the Imagineers!

'80sSitcoms 06-18-2020, 01:07 AM Haha, speaking of Mrs. Garrett, she's the focus of 1 of 3 new attractions opening up today! I think we'll have to put in "Ednaville" between SueWeaverland and Nantasyland!
Submarine Sandwich Voyage - Hop in a bun warmer and travel this amazing ride through a Peekskill supermarket as you glide by scenes of Audio-Animatronic Mrs. Garrett on her grocery journey buying ingredients to make an enormous submarine sandwich, where you end with the final scene of her making the sandwich in Eastland's kitchen. Be sure to bring your appetite, because when you disembark from your bun warmer at the end of the ride, you'll get a piece of a submarine sandwich just like you saw Mrs. Garrett make!
Universe of NRG (Nancy/Roger Gab) - This attraction about "conversation conservation" takes a look at NRG and the effects of its energy on the Peekskill community. Scientists have determined that when Nancy and Roger were burning up the phone lines at Eastland, their phone marathons used up enough energy that could have powered the entire city of Peekskill for the entire year of 1980!
Hairizons (A Tribute to JoAnne Stafford-Chaney) - From Mrs. Garrett's poof to Blair's puff, come into this pavilion to see the history of Eastland hair featuring Audio-Animatronics of Mrs. Garrett and her girls modeling all of the hairstyles they wore on the show! Be sure to stop by the gift shop on your way out to pick up your own wigs of your favorite styles!
