View Full Version : I thought the other girls from season 1 was released?
TVFactFan 06-12-2020, 03:26 PM Now I seen those girls, susan, nancy and the others appear in two eps back to back in season 2
Gossip and Sex Symbol. I thought they was off the show completely
'80sSitcoms 06-12-2020, 03:28 PM Nope, they all make occasional appearances in those classic cafeteria years. :)
(though Molly appears only once)
Wawwie 06-12-2020, 03:30 PM Nope, they all make occasional appearances in those classic cafeteria years. :)

Yes, and then many years later in the "Little Chill" episode, they all act as if they never met Jo before.

Now thats something I never knew. Thanks
'80sSitcoms 06-12-2020, 03:36 PM Yes, and then many years later in the "Little Chill" episode, they all act as if they never met Jo before.
But Tootie says, "You guys remember Jo!" and they confirm they do. They just didn't seem to know her very well.
Wawwie 06-12-2020, 03:41 PM But Tootie says, "You guys remember Jo!" and they confirm they do. They just didn't seem to know her very well.
I only remember Beverly Ann saying that they have no memories of Jo which isn't true.
TVFactFan 06-12-2020, 03:48 PM Yes, and then many years later in the "Little Chill" episode, they all act as if they never met Jo before.
Maybe they dont because I have yet to see Jo around any of them
'80sSitcoms 06-12-2020, 03:52 PM I only remember Beverly Ann saying that they have no memories of Jo which isn't true.
She may have meant "that first year at Eastland", like Cindy says.

No, you said you saw "Gossip". Remember how they're all together in the cafeteria for the last scene? :)
Wawwie 06-12-2020, 03:53 PM Maybe they dont because I have yet to see Jo around any of them
She was around Nancy and Cindy in the episode "Gossip" and other episodes I don't know the name of. She was also around Molly and Sue Ann. They all definitely knew Jo.

maybe she was around them but did they have a interaction?
'80sSitcoms 06-12-2020, 04:48 PM maybe she was around them but did they have a interaction?
Yes, they were all talking together huddled at the table.
And you will see some interaction in another cafeteria episode (2 episodes, if you count Jo GLARING at a happy Sue Ann in silence during a crowd scene as "interaction", lol).
Lorimar Television 06-12-2020, 05:06 PM Who is SUSAN?????
'80sSitcoms 06-12-2020, 05:12 PM Who is SUSAN?????
She's the elder sister in another core four: Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy ;)

Hey Wawwie! Here's a handy way to remember which episodes the Lost Girls were in:
What shows feature Lost Girls
After the unfair Cast Purge?
Only way you'll know
Is memorize this helpful dirge
The first show's called "New Girl"
It's the show that intros Jo
Then up next is "Gossip"
Nancy has lines, don't you know
Followed by "Sex Symbol"
The Lost Girls act like evil bitches
Then comes "Pretty Babies"
A photographer Tootie bewitches
Followed by the "Front Page"
Where Sue Ann and Cindy vanish
Then up next is "Dear Me"
With Nancy (who acts so pollyannish)
After that it's "Green-Eyed"
It's a "Monster" of a show
Then five years will pass
Until the Lost Girls once more show
Finally, we get some answers
In the show "The Little Chill"
Sue Ann tells some lies
And then they all exit Peekskill
Sadly, we will never
See them on the show again
But it's cool we saw them
In the eight shows they were in
Now you know the shows
And you can spot them from a mile
Maybe this dumb poem
Will allow you a brief smile!

"Sex Symbol" was on today and Sue Ann was being a total witch with Natalie!

Thanks!
"Sex Symbol" was on today and Sue Ann was being a total witch with Natalie!
Yeah, it's not Sue Ann's greatest moment, but I like to think she was egged on by the other girls, none of whom came off very nice in the episode.

Her revenge after Natalie trashed her in Running ;)

It's the Chronicles of Narnia. There was a core four of kids: the Pevensie children. They added characters later on, but people don't remember the additional urchins much. I think there was Eustace, Jill, and Beverly Ann.

Yeah, I know you're a Disney fan, so I was surprised you didn't get the reference. Oh well!

Hahaha, but I think the cast changes went MUCH better in the books! ;)

I know that was to Lorsie, but as for me, I wasn't even thinking of Disney, lol.
Unfortunately I went and saw Disney's LWW in theaters, and it was the most soul-sucking experience I've ever had in a movie theater. :(
RetroGuy2000 06-12-2020, 07:16 PM Hahaha, but I think the cast changes went MUCH better in the books! ;)
Well, by the time they added Eustace, Tumnus had already left, and Aslan was rarely seen anymore. It just wasn't the same. Adding Jill didn't help.

No, of course the books are always going to be better. I enjoyed the first two films, but felt #3 took too many liberties.
80s Dude 06-12-2020, 10:04 PM The two Nancys interacted with one another in Dear Me in Season too. Nancy M. even mentions Roger.
TVFactFan 06-12-2020, 10:07 PM Nancy was a tad bit higher than Blair on the Looks scale
'80sSitcoms 06-13-2020, 12:00 AM No, of course the books are always going to be better.
Oh no, not always. I'm sorry if it's a favorite of yours, but frankly, I found the novel "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" to be a weak bore. I find the 1954 Disney film far superior.
I did (and still do) love the BBC adaptations of the Narnia books. To me that is a much more appropriate "intimate" story feel, rather than Disney trying to go all "epic film" with them.
I enjoyed the first two films, but felt #3 took too many liberties.
After such a record immensely disappointing viewing experience with the first one (they couldn't even get the atmosphere of Lucy entering Narnia right---it's supposed to be nighttime in Narnia, not daytime like in England), I thought, "Okay, with the new one, let's go in just looking it as 'fan fiction' "---and with that attitude, I was able to actually enjoy 2 and 3, by looking at them as "fan fiction".
80s Dude 06-14-2020, 11:17 AM The Lost Girls were fired and then rehired as part timers for Season 2. Molly then quit after her only episode in Season 2. Felice was offered to comeback for Season 4, but declined because she was at an east coast college and wanted to be a full time student. Not sure if they ever thought about bringing back the Julies for Season 4.

Funny how I never knew that and that explains why they did a reunion episode years later. I was like........."why did a bunch of girls who were cut after season 1 decide to do a reunion episode?

If you looked at their IMDB page, you will see the 3 of them didn't have much work after they left Facts of Life for good. There must have been a decent amount of money for them to come back for one episode.

surprised to hear that about the girl who played nancy she was beautiful.

Money didn't even seem to be a factor for them. Julie Pie says when her agent asked her if she would be interested in doing a reunion episode, she immediately said, "What time do they want me there?"

I love that about Julie Pie. No hesitation. Just asking when they need her to be there.
