Yep, Horshack was in the wild biker gang and Mr. Woodman was the apartment building owner who ordered Alice to lock Belle out of her apartment.

Belle was my least favorite of the waitresses. I liked Flo best, then Jolene, then a tie with Alice & Vera. Actually, I liked Mel better than all of them.

As for Mr. Woodman flying out to Arizona... that's a very long flight from Brooklyn!!

The Jolene episodes start next thursday at 8pm. I notice she is in the first episode of season 6. Do they say what happened to belle and how Jolene arrived there?

Jolene used to be a truck driver. She stopped at Mel's Diner for a break with her trucking partner who was a pervert and Jolene ended up quitting and throwing a bunch of Mel's dishes at him. In order to pay for the damages, Mel hires her as temporary help. She was temporary at first.

As for Belle, she had called on the phone that day to announce that she got a country western singing gig in Nashville.

I am thinking of buying the series on DVD but need to do some research first to see if the episodes are edited

I have seasons 1-4 on dvd. I don't think they're edited. I still don't know if I'll ever get the rest of the seasons.

I think Jolene was on the show for just as long as Flo was. Flo was 1-4 and Jolene was 6-9

Just looked and it appears that 2 eps from season 1 and 2 are edited and season 3 is all chopped up:lol:

I will get it eventually but its not high on my list right now

I love Alice, but right now, I think I'd rather have the Good Times series. For complete series, I recently got Jeffersons. I've had Three's Company for a long time. Right now, I'm hooked on Melrose Place DVDs. But that's a drama, not a sitcom. I need some Good Times!

The Jeffersons set was a nice surprise because they include a bonus feature and new footage. That maybe the best DVD purchase I ever made

Yeah, Horshack was on the "Alice" episode with the biker gang, when the Jay Leno character becomes obsessed with making Alice his "old lady."
