Archie is putting on another spectacular performance. It is the
episode where Archie's brother shows up after 29 years only to find
out that his brother is dieing and will have to have bipass surgery
and may not survive. Archie becomes the executor of his brother's
will and they bury the hatchet finally. Two words: JUST FANTASTIC.

Funny Quote on Tonight's 11:30pm NAN episode:

The move to California is eminent and Archie says to Gloria:

"Let me tell you something about California, it's the land of fruits and nuts. Every nut is a little fruity and every fruit is a little nutty."

Typical Archie.

Last night's episode wasn't very funnt at all, and isn't that what a sitcom is all about? I personally didn't like it.

I know it was not funny, but this is what I think makes the episodes of All In The Family like yesterday's some of the best television in history. You have to look beyond laughter when talking about All In The Family. The show is not supposed to be a pure funny sitcom. It is not Friends, Will and Grace, Dharma and Greg and all the other crappy sitcoms we have today. This show is about combining drama and comedy with the drama being more powerful most of the time. This is the very essence to why I think this is one of the greatest shows television has ever seen and will ever see. I do not tune in to All In The Family to get a quick laugh only, I tune in to be moved emotionally in all different ways. I watch to laugh, to cry, to think, as well as many other things. All In The Family was not just another sitcom it was television the way television was meant to be.
