Before the late actor/fitness expert Jack LaLanne became a celebrity in informercials for his Jack LaLanne Power Juicer there was The Juiceman "Real Name Jay Kordich" who became a celebrity by creating his namesake juicer and easily becoming the most popular celebrity in infomercials and commercials since Ron Popeil. Now before becoming a mega commercial star Jay Kordich got his start learning about the different kinds of healthy foods and juices and since he learned that lots of vegetables have a lot of healthy juices to make he started making his own healthy smoothies and sold them at amusement parks and county fairs. Then as luck would have it he got the chance to be drafted by the Green Bay Packers but he was unable to chase his dream as Jay was diagnosed with cancer and rather than focusing on his illness and pains Jay became friends with the doctor who was treating him who taught Jay the ABC's of healthy juices and while he recovered he got the idea to invent a juicer that would help people make juice the healthy way and thus The Juiceman was born and the rest is commercial/infomercial history. The Juiceman commercial first made it's debut in the 90's and has spun-off many juicers of The Juiceman family such as The Juiceman Jr. and Jay Kordich's best selling book The Juiceman's Power Of Juicing. Although still going strong today the original The Juiceman commercial is worth a watch

The Juiceman Juicer was very hard to clean. On top of that, the infomercial was a liquid version of a Martha Stewart Cooking School, first, get out your chestnut roasting pan (sure, give me second). If you can have a prop man visit your home every morning to set up the kitchen island so you have all the various ingredients in the right amounts right at your finger tips, and the prop man is ready willing and able to put all of it away and clean everything up, well your in business, if not, the Juiceman will end up in the back of your appliance cabinet.
