Coming in Quarter 4 Fall 2020- Who’s The Boss?
icecream 06-01-2020, 11:26 AM 11PM weeknights will be total garbage now with Designing Unfunny Women moving there. I would much rather see Benson, Wings, Head of the Class, or Family Ties get the Johnny Carson lead-in. And I don't like Benson losing the Sundays at 5PM hour, 5PM on Saturdays is the same time my affiliate for My Network TV airs Leverage in its only weekly airing. 5-10PM weeknights is still the same lousy lineup with Barney Miller being the only show worth watching in that block. Hopefully the schedule improves when Who's the Boss? comes in September.
AMackII 06-01-2020, 01:31 PM Agreed catsrule, the another classic on Antenna TV should be on 11pm/10c instead of Designing Women.
Merry24 06-01-2020, 01:49 PM My guess as of now is the Weeknight time slot 11pm hour will go to Who’s The Boss?, when it comes in the Fall.
Svenfan1234 06-01-2020, 02:03 PM When does this start? All I saw on their schedule (that they put out) was 3Q 2020.
icecream 06-04-2020, 10:19 AM This year's Father's Day marathon on Antenna TV is Coach. I will take Coach any day over the usual Father Knows Best. Although I had thought they might go with a Diff'rent Strokes marathon being its first year back in awhile.

I was thinking Diff'rent Strokes too but they could be saving that for another marathon this year.
Merry24 06-14-2020, 12:15 PM Every Sunday in July it’s Back To the 80’s Sunday Funday.Every week a theme will be related.According to Antenna TV Facebook.

Yeah. I saw that promo on their Facebook. But I guess I don't really understand what it's all about. Are they changing their lineup briefly for July on Sunday nights? Family Ties and Gimme a Break, shown in that promo, are not on Sunday nights right now.
Merry24 06-14-2020, 06:31 PM I believe a couple weeks ago the Sitcoms online blog read Antenna TV will be starting the Summer Schedule in July and it said more info coming in the upcoming weeks.
Reguarding the schedule changes it was on Antenna TV’s Facebook page. Than just hours after posting the 3rd Quarter Schedule it was pulled very quickly after it was posted.
I noticed that as well reguarding Family Ties & Gimmie A Break. Perhaps it will be like when they ran the Themed Weekends this past Spring.
Merry24 06-14-2020, 07:55 PM I thought Diff’rent Strokes would be the Fathers Day stunt as well. Coach has already had a Marathon. It must do very well for them.
I would not be surprised to see Diff’rent Strokes being this Years Thanksgiving Weekend. It being called something like
Who gets the Drummond stick Weekend Marathon?

Family Ties and Gimme a Break, shown in that promo, are not on Sunday nights right now.I haven't seen the promo, but if it is being called Sunday Funday, wouldn't just be for the night. Gimme a Break is on Sunday afternoons, but not Family Ties.

I'm thinking more marathons of Coach makes them run through it at the right pace considering they've said before that they are granted a specific number of times they can run each episode and I imagine they try to make it lineup perfectly with their planned schedules so when they run out of times they can run episodes, they can remove it as planned. This has happened with other shows like Small Wonder and One Day at a Time where they began airing less and less because they couldn't air more. They've commented about it before on Facebook.
icecream 06-14-2020, 09:38 PM Sunday is the worst possible night they could have chosen for the July marathons, it takes away the only Wings hour of the week and the only Growing Pains hour at a decent time. Saturday would have been preferable, or better yet on a weeknight from 7-10 where the regular lineup is lousy. Gimme a Break and Webster I am not interested in at all either.

They've commented about it before on Facebook.Small Wonder and One Day at a Time are not at all like Coach. Those two shows only had one marathon each, while Coach has had two marathons each year for a total of six. Coach obviously does well for them in marathons. Small Wonder never aired anywhere near primetime either except for that one Saturday Summerthon, wasn't even on the weekday lineup.
TVFactFan 06-14-2020, 09:45 PM They could have done without Webster
Merry24 06-14-2020, 10:13 PM I understand stand why they are airring the 80’s Sunday fun day block Sunday’s it’s a good spot coming out of the 80’s afternoon-evening block. I do disagree about having it on Saturday’s that’s the only NITE of the week that has the classic black and white NICK at NITE feel good feeling shows. WeekNights would of probably been the best option though.

What I guess I'm trying to say is like those two shows, Coach and every other show has a certain number of times they can air each episode and marathons help them go through the episodes so they don't have to worry about removing it abruptly instead of with a new schedule. But Coach is nowhere near as popular as say, Archie Bunker's Place, Alice, and Three's Company for Antenna. There's no denying that. Those 3 shows are obviously pretty near the top of the highest rated shows for them. You may have all 3, but there's no denying the fact that they are immensely more popular than Coach.
