Has to be the worst writing. Beaver’s Old Buddy is another clunker and that’s being nice. Are there any good episodes in season 4? It was agony watching Beaver and Wally show disinterest and boredom around Jackie. It was so contrived. Jackie acted like the Cleavers tortured him at night. Neither kid even tried to have fun. They could have spent time talking about stuff they liked.

Beaver’s Tonsils was another one where immature Beaver wanted presents. He acted like Oliver Twist. In season 4 almost every episode he was babied.

They really should have brought Larry back for this role. Getting Rusty and Madge Blake for the episode would have made it. I think the script was passable but the kid actor was pretty bad.

At the other house we never heard of Jackie Waters.

There were good episodes in Season 4. Beaver's House Guest, In the Soup, Uncle Billy, Wally the Lifeguard, Miss Landers' Fiance, Eddie's Double-Cross, Ward's Millions, and Wally and Dudley, just to name a few.

Even on it's worst day, I'd prefer to watch LITB over many of the shows Antenna TV gives us.

Agree. Although I like Antenna in the morning, after LITB on MeTV.
