The good news: There's a really solid chance that your favorite ABC show will return for the 2020-2021 television season. The bad news: It's looking like a handful of new shows won't be returning.

ABC announced a slew of renewals on Thursday, bringing back the expected veteran favorites The Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, The Goldbergs, American Housewife, black-ish, Shark Tank, and 20/20, as well as The Rookie, A Million Little Things, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Freshman series breathing a sigh of relief include mixed-ish and Stumptown, which will both return for Season 2.

The Conners is going without an audience as it becomes the first network sitcom to return to work (https://deadline.com/2020/08/the-conners-starts-production-season-3-comedies-begin-return-covid-safety-protocols-saved-by-the-bell-1203015179/)

Production started today on Season 3 of the ABC comedy with strict coronavirus protocols, with the first taping scheduled for the 19-episode season scheduled for later this week. The Conners will be filmed with minimal crew and without an in-studio audience. "Shooting in Los Angeles, The Conners is enforcing rigorous safety and health protocols, aligned with all state and local requirements as well as union and industry guidelines for production," reports Deadline's Nellie Andreeva. "They had been developed by the show’s producers for several months." The Conners showrunner Bruce Helford told TVLine in May that "we’ll absolutely be dealing" with the coronavirus (https://www.primetimer.com/item/The-Conners-plans-to-tackle-coronavirus-next-season-d1SYgA) in scripts, adding: "We’re a show that reflects reality, so we’re obligated (to address it)." Meanwhile, Andreeva reports that The Conners' fellow ABC comedy The Goldbergs is "eyeing" returning to work later this week, while the Peacock's Saved by the Bell resumed production last week and the pilot for NBC's Night School completed production two weeks ago.

The show will move to Wednesday this season, the first time Roseanne/The Conners will not air on Tuesday if I'm not mistaken?
