Hi all, I'm pretty new here, but I just wanted to throw a quick question out.. I've been attempting to watch the reruns currently being aired on TVLand, and I noticed that the opening for season nine, features the exact same music as the previous season.. Now, I seem to remember watching this season on TBS many years back, and season nine did contain the same pics as eight, but the theme had a slightly different mix.. Is my memory correct, and for some reason, the music has been changed to match the previous season? I also noticed something similiar with the 1981-82 season of L&S...
I understand that with syndication, a couple of minutes have to be edited out, but couldn't they attempt to keep shows as close to their original format as possible?

I notice that the theme song lasts appromixately 2 minutes! If the station elimated most of it I'll bet TV Land could fit more of each episode in. I think the ending is about 30 seconds. I also notice that TBS & Oddessy show the same parts of episodes that Nick & TV Land do not & vice versa.

What I don't understand is why, if the theme isn't being edited for time, are they messing with the theme music..? What possible difference or benefit could come from this? I just don't get it.. Like I said, I noticed the same thing with season 6 and 7 of L & S... Always before, season 7 had a different mix, and when it aired on N&N, it featured the same as 6, just like seasons 8 and 9 of Happy Days.. Oh well, life will go on.. I just wish syndication would keep shows as close to the originals as possible.
